The Epiphone Special-II Plus Top in Heritage Cherry Burst is a limited-edition, beginner-friendly electric guitar offering the classic Les Paul look and tone at an affordable price. The "Plus Top" model is an upgrade over the standard Special-II, featuring an aesthetic flame maple veneer on the body.

- Finish: The Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish is translucent, highlighting the flame maple veneer on the top of the body.
- Body: It features a single-cutaway Les Paul body made of mahogany.
- Neck and fingerboard: The bolt-on mahogany neck has a comfortable SlimTaper "D" profile, making it easy to play for beginners. It has a 22-fret fingerboard, with either rosewood or laurel depending on the production year, and dot inlays.
- Pickups: The guitar is equipped with a pair of open-coil Epiphone humbuckers: a 650R in the neck position and a hotter 700T in the bridge. These pickups provide a classic humbucker sound with plenty of sustain.
